In one of the premier institution of the Delhi University, the chance to create an extension of an iconic building was equivalent to an opportunity to make a contemporary addition to a respected and revered painting. While planning the extension for Lady Shri Ram College’s existing building structure, it was important to minimize interruption of the established natural and aesthetic balance in the campus.

Keeping this thought as the central idea of the design, the extension was executed without cutting down any trees in the campus and attempting to establish a synergy between the red brick structure and the natural landscape of the sprawling campus. In the end, what was achieved did justice to the guiding thought behind the project.
